Well, it looks like I am going to stay with the "type of sports fan" idea. I just need to find images to complete the design and to tighten up the concept and the direction it's going. My roughs:

I liked your layout because it made me feel like I was at the game. Their were some other good two page spreads but yours and Marks stood out most for me. I didn't read any of either but both layouts were good.
