Logo
Okay, first of all the colors on this upload are all f'ed up and I have no idea why...any suggestions? The browns and other colors have gone haywire!!! F it, I'm posting anyway!
My wife and mother-in-law have been making stylized burp clothes and changing pad covers for gifts to expectant mothers and for craft fairs that'll be coming up this summer. My wife's maiden name is Cipolloni, so I actually suggested their business name too of "Cippy Stitches". I designed a logo for them and recently revamped this ("recently" meaning before the Words & Images class...I mean, I'm a glutton for punishment, but I'm not f''ing crazy!) for them. Any feedback is appreciated. I think maybe the start of the "S" thread (bottom of the S) could be faded slightly to blend into the background, but up for additional suggestions.

not bad, when you're doing logos though you want to be sure that is works well, in 1 color or Black and white as well as on bother a large and small scale.
Personally I would just dump the thread spool in the background, it might look odd, small on a business card. Generally I don't use photography in logo design
Yeah, I'd like to see it without the spool. Maybe the spool could be used as a separate element on a business card or letter head but not part of the logo.
I like the S -- looks eerily familiar to "Strands" from Rick's class. :)
I think I'd like to see Cippy a less bulky typeface.
The S and titches are very nice.
I would remove the photo since photos don't usually work too well in logos. And I agree with Stacie that Cippy could be in a less bulky typeface. Also, I would vary the weight of the "S" (make it get slightly wider in the middle or something)so it has a little more prominence. Right now, it's getting lost.
Hi Mark,
It's so cute, I really like the spool of thread. My only suggestions is that the Thin S is lost and that you make that thicker and bring Cippy down from so think. I really like the word stitches and am in love with the needle -- DON'T get rid of that or the string S. I think it very feminine.
