I find the Absolut vodka ads, produced since 1981 by the international advertising agency TBWA, very inspiring. I can point to this particular ad as one that piqued my interest in graphic design many years ago. The ad is simple in terms of what it communicates, yet it upholds the sophisticated standard by which these products are typically judged.

I find myself doing this kind of thing--using one thing to help define another. I play golf also, but find myself serving up the tennis balls to help my golfing. We seem to call on the things that we desire to do to assist the things that we are assigned to do.
